Countdown to Christmas: Your Dining Room

The Dining room may not be entered too often by guests throughout the year, but when Christmas comes around all your family will be huddled at the table waiting for the food, and if you give them something nice to look at they might just be able to stand the wait.

This dining room is delicately decorated for the holidays. Silver ornaments adorned the chandeliers leaving for room on the table for the scrumptious Christmas dinner. Small trees are the main things that line the table creating a simple, but gorgeous look. In my home it seems that when dinner comes around all my decorations are pushed to another room because we need more room for the food, but decorating the chandeliers give you great versatility.
Another fabulous decor idea is hanging branches from the ceiling and adorning them with ornaments. Keep in mind though to place the branches out of the way of guests heads so there are no scratched eyes. As in blogs before I have said to place ornaments in glass vases, well in this picture you see just that. What a simple and inexpensive way to decorate!! I believe that added some greenery down the center of the table would have made this look even more fabulous!

Just remember to try to keep your dining room as functional as possible when decorating, because when dinner comes your decorations won't matter if they are shoved out of the room.
